Goulburn Valley Office

Overview

The Goulburn Valley Office (GVO) is an administrative centre for the University of Melbourne's Goulburn Valley Initiative and is based at 21 Nixon Street, Shepparton, Victoria.

The office:

• Is accountable for overall policy and strategic development of the Goulburn Valley Initiative.
• Assists with the evaluation and review of the University's regional strategic plans.
• Provides the secretariat to both the Goulburn Valley Initiative Planning and Co-ordination Group and the Regional Operational Group.
• Supports the development and operations of both faculty-based and centre-based projects and programs in the Goulburn Valley.
• Liaises with the community, local alumni, and Goulburn Valley stakeholders, including the implementation of an annual calendar of public programs.
• Is a local base for the development and implementation of research projects, education and outreach programs by faculties and departments.
• Offers Goulburn Valley students access to a broad range of student services from accommodation and health services through to library and computing facilities.
